Hello,

“Design can help to improve our lives in the present. Design thinking can help us chart a path into the future.”
-Tim Brown

Curiosity and imagination have always been a major part of my life, and it still influences almost everything I do. Art has always been the most natural and easiest way to express me.

Work

I pursued Visual Communication at St. Joseph’s College (Bangalore). The course had a broad spectrum of subjects that invoked the creative side. Curriculum subjects that explored art history, film, journalism, advertising, new media arts allowed me to further refine this skill by finding the best medium for transforming ideas into a concept. Most importantly it has helped me question my work and pushed me to go beyond what was expected and gave me a better insight into the path I want to follow in the future.

As a current UX designer at YUJ, I collaborate with business leaders and product teams to craft functional and intuitive product experiences. My background as a Graphic Designer for Amazon Music has fostered a passion for blending functionality and structure in design. My experiences highlight the significance of customer-centric designs catering to diverse cultural groups in India, emphasizing the need for a unified brand voice and guidelines for a cohesive branded experience

Master's in Experience Design from Srishti Manipal Institute of Arts, Design, and Technology equipped me with an inquiry-driven approach, fostering UX case studies through research, theory application, and a trans-disciplinary perspective. This enabled me to observe and understand everyday human activities, developing an empathetic understanding of shared experiences

I continually adapt my approach and practice, learning and unlearning based on personal needs and contextual understanding. This flexible mindset helps me identify alternative strategies and solutions, guiding my design practice with creativity and experimentation. My background in visual design and multi-media design complements my role as a design researcher, providing additional tools to effectively communicate intent in crafting artefacts and interactions.

My passion lies in diverse areas such as UX research, human behavior, psychology, HCI, concept design, somaesthetic design, experience design, gamification, communication design, game design, and service design. As a creative individual, I am driven to bring imagined worlds to life, exploring how words, ideas, and norms impact culture, technology, and society. Continual learning and contribution to these realms drive my professional journey.

The majority of us want to make the world a better place. As human beings, we are hardwired to want to make a contribution. As science fiction author William Gibson has been explaining for decades, “The future is already here – it's just not evenly distributed.” How can we always make sure we’re putting people first when we design systems or services? Especially when those systems will change over time, even evolving without direct human supervision?

My goal is to imbibe all qualities to make me an enthusiastic and inquisitive human-centered designer. I seek continued involvement in innovative user experience research, aspiring to make a purposeful impact on the UX community, fostering personal growth and satisfaction.

I enjoy working on projects that have a positive impact on the surrounding society and the environment, in addition to the business in question. On a team level, I strive to work with individuals who have different backgrounds, because I genuinely believe that diverse teams produce the best results. When I'm not designing, you can find me practicing photography, playing PC games, watching anime, or creating yet another Spotify playlist.

If you think that I would be a great fit for your team as a UX designer feel free to contact me via email or LinkedIn and let’s discuss more!

Or, if you’re a fellow designer, let’s connect on LinkedIn. I’m always looking for talented people to work on projects together and to share knowledge related to design.
